Abstract

Globalization has many dimensions including its political aspirations. Politics of globalization implies existence of a beneficiary and the supplier. In the entire transaction of business the beneficiary located in one nation state or in all nation-states of world. This paper argues that the globalization discourse in India is sustained by the argument of that globalization benefiting ‘G-8’ countries and so also only 50 percent of the population of India accepts. But it is being pushed through legal tangles, political trade-offs and ultimately the ‘other’‘50 percent’ are made to accept the globalization.
